A five-star performance from Arsenal at the Emirates saw off Huddersfield. Here are three players who impressed for Arsenal.
After returning from illness, Mesut Ozil was back to his best. The German playmaker provided two assists in quick succession for Olivier Giroud and then Alexis Sanchez before getting on the scoresheet himself. In fact, he made those three contributions in just three minutes and 58 seconds. For the first time in his career, Ozil had a hand in three goals in a single Premier League game.
After scoring in the third minute, Alexandre Lacazette was taken off at half-time. His compatriot Olivier Giroud replaced him. Giroud scored twice from close-range as Arsenal won 5-0. The Frenchman has scored 16 Premier League goals as a substitute, the 4th highest tally in the competition. He may not like being called a super sub but Giroud plays the role well.
The Welshman has been superb for Arsenal this season. Aaron Ramsey provided a superb flick assist for Lacazette’s opener. No Arsenal player has had a hand in more Premier League goals this season than Aaron Ramsey (three goals, five assists). Ramsey was superb in the 2013/14 season and Arsenal fans would love to see him replicate that excellent form again this season
