Recent Form

Arsenal have won three of their last five games. They bounced back from defeat against Watford to win 5-2 against Everton in Ronald Koeman’s final match in charge. Despite losing three away games in the league this season, the Gunners are unbeaten at the Emirates.

Swansea on the other hand are on a very poor run of form. Paul Clement’s side have won just one of their last five games (L3, D1). Their most recent defeats have come against Watford, West Ham and Leicester. On a more positive note, they have only conceded one goal in four away league games so far this season. Unfortunately, it is very likely that the Swans will be in a relegation battle once again.

Team News

Arsenal have no new injuries and the squad that was available against Everton are available for the match against Swansea. Everyone who played on Tuesday against Norwich is also available. Calum Chambers will be back in full training on Monday. David Ospina will not be fit for Saturday but should be ready for the Europa League match against Red Star Belgrade. The absentees are Shkodran Mustafi (hamstring) and Danny Welbeck (groin).

Swansea will be without a trio of key players against Arsenal. Wilfried Bony and Renato Sanches are definitely out of the trip with hamstring and thigh injuries respectively. Martin Olsson will have a scan on the hamstring injury he picked up during Tuesday’s Carabao Cup defeat to Manchester United. Manager Paul Clement said: “We will wait for the results, but almost certainly he will not be available for the weekend.”

Prediction

Swansea are struggling and Arsenal should be able to take full advanatge, especially at home. My prediction is Arsenal 3-0 Swansea.
